Legal
These terms set out the rules for using AnyToExcel: what you can expect from the service, what we expect from you, and where responsibility lies when a conversion is not perfect.
Last updated 15 October 2026
The short version
Your files remain yours. Use the service lawfully and within its limits. Check every converted spreadsheet before relying on it — automatic conversion can make mistakes, and the service is provided as is.
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of AnyToExcel (“we”, “us”). They apply to the website, the converters, the dashboard and everything else offered at this domain (together, “the service”). By using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Operator: [To confirm: legal name of the person or business operating AnyToExcel].
If you use the service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
How we handle personal information is described separately in the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
AnyToExcel turns tabular data into Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx). The public converters accept CSV, TSV, JSON, HTML tables, PDF and images. Signed-in users also get dashboard tools to convert several files at once, clean and analyse data, and build tables from scratch or from templates.
The service enforces limits to keep it usable for everyone, such as a maximum file size (currently 5 MB, or 4 MB for images) and a maximum number of requests per hour. Limits shown on the site may change as the service develops.
We may add, change or remove features at any time. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will try to give notice on the site first.
The converters can be used without an account. The dashboard requires you to sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure and for activity carried out through it on AnyToExcel.
You must be at least [To confirm: minimum age, for example 16] years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher, to use the service.
You agree not to:
We may block requests, restrict access or end your use of the service if we reasonably believe you have broken these rules.
You keep all rights in the files you upload and in the spreadsheets the service produces from them. We claim no ownership of your data.
You give us permission to process each file only as far as needed to perform the conversion or tool action you asked for. As the privacy policy explains, files are converted in memory and not stored. Image files are sent to Google's Gemini API to be read, so you also permit that transfer when you upload an image.
You are responsible for the data you upload. If a file contains personal information about other people, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to process it. Do not upload highly sensitive information — such as health records, government identification numbers or payment card data — unless you have checked that this is appropriate.
Converting data between formats involves interpretation, and the result will not always be what you expect. In particular:
Always check the output against the source before relying on it, and especially before using it for financial, legal, medical, tax or other decisions where an error matters. Keep your original files: a converted spreadsheet is not a backup.
AnyToExcel is currently free to use. The pricing page describes paid plans, but no payments are taken through the service at present.
If paid plans become available, the price, billing cycle, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be shown to you before you are asked to pay, and they will form part of these terms. [To confirm: payment provider, billing and renewal terms, cancellation and refund policy, and tax handling — to be added before paid plans launch]
We work to keep AnyToExcel running and fast, but we do not promise that it will be available at all times, free of errors, or suitable for any particular purpose. The service depends on third-party providers — for hosting, the database, sign-in, email and image reading — and an outage at any of them can affect it.
We may suspend the service for maintenance, security reasons or circumstances outside our control. We may also discontinue the service entirely; if we do, we will give reasonable notice on the site where we can.
The AnyToExcel name, logo, website design, text and software belong to the operator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you the right to use the service as offered; they do not transfer any ownership of it to you.
You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the service, except where the law expressly allows it. The spreadsheets you produce are yours to use however you like.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without any obligation to you.
Parts of the service rely on third parties, including Google for sign-in and for reading images. Your use of a Google account is governed by Google's own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services. The providers we use are listed in the privacy policy.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and [To confirm: a fixed amount, for example USD 50].
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.
You can stop using the service at any time. To end your sign-in, sign out and, if you wish, remove AnyToExcel's access from your Google Account settings.
We may suspend or end your access, without notice where necessary, if you break these terms, if your use creates a risk for the service or other users, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should continue — including those on your content, intellectual property and liability — continue after your use ends.
We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last updated, and significant changes will be announced on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of [To confirm: country or state]. Disputes will be heard by the courts of [To confirm: city or jurisdiction], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us — most problems can be solved by email.
